About Recast

Recast is an independent project that makes AI face and voice swapping accessible without the usual tradeoffs: it detects every face in a video, photo, or GIF automatically, lets you choose a replacement for anyone you want (leaving everyone else untouched), and clones a voice to match the original timing rather than reading flat text-to-speech.

Face-swapping tools are often either locked behind expensive subscriptions or built with no guardrails at all. Recast is built the other way around: free to start, works without an account for video and photo swapping, and every result is watermarked as AI-modified so it's never mistaken for real footage.
