Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Recast (recast-face-swap.com), an AI face- and voice-swapping service for videos, photos, and GIFs. By using Recast, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Who can use Recast

You must be at least 18 years old to use Recast. Uploading images, video, or audio of anyone under 18 — whether as the original subject or as a replacement face or voice — is prohibited, regardless of your own age or relationship to that person.

Consent is required

Before you upload a replacement face or voice, you confirm that you are authorized to use it — and that everyone whose likeness appears in your result, both the original person in the source media and the person being used as a replacement, has agreed to it. You're responsible for having that consent; Recast doesn't verify it for you.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Recast to create or distribute content that:

• Is sexual or intimate in nature and involves a real person's likeness without their consent.

• Depicts anyone without the consent described above — this is the core rule everything else follows from.

• Impersonates a real person to deceive, defraud, harass, or damage their reputation.

• Is intended to deceive voters or spread political disinformation, including fabricated statements or events involving public figures.

• Involves anyone under 18, in any capacity.

• Violates any applicable law.

Watermarking

Every result Recast produces is watermarked as AI-modified, including an inaudible audio watermark on cloned voices. You may not attempt to remove, obscure, or circumvent this watermark.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you've violated these terms — in particular the consent and prohibited-use rules above. Processing that's already in progress may be stopped, and any pending credits are not refunded in cases of violation.

Requesting removal of content

If you believe Recast was used to create content depicting you without your consent, you — or anyone else, whether or not you have a Recast account — can request its removal. See our Responsible Use page for how.

No warranty

Recast is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce a particular result. Face detection and swapping can fail or produce unexpected output, especially on low-quality source media.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Recast and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including misuse of a result you create in violation of these terms.
