Recast ("we", "us") provides AI face- and voice-swapping for videos and photos at recast-face-swap.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

• Account info, if you create one: username, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.

• Media you upload: videos, photos, and voice recordings, plus any "replacement" faces or voices you provide for a swap.

• Usage and device info: IP address and basic request metadata, used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention (e.g. stopping repeated failed sign-in attempts).

• Credit and ad-reward activity: whether you watched a rewarded ad and the credits it granted, so we can enforce fair-use limits.

• A session token stored on your device (via browser local storage) to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are set by us directly.

To run the service you asked for: detecting faces, swapping them, cloning voices, and giving you back a result. To enforce the consent and authorization rules described below. To prevent abuse of free accounts and rate limits. To show you how many credits you have and let you earn more by watching a rewarded ad.

Before uploading a replacement face or voice, you're required to confirm that everyone whose face or voice appears — both the original person in the video/photo and the replacement — has agreed to it. Recast is not for deceiving, harassing, or impersonating anyone. Every processed result is watermarked ("AI-modified"), including an inaudible audio watermark on cloned voices, so it's never mistaken for unaltered footage.

Only you, and authorized Recast staff when needed to operate or secure the service, can access your uploads and results — nobody else can see or download them. Files are temporary: they're automatically deleted within 24 hours, and deleting your account permanently removes your account record and everything you've uploaded, immediately and irreversibly. You can delete your account yourself from the Profile screen, or ask us to do it by emailing the address below.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share your media with anyone except to provide the service itself. Rewarded ads are served by Google Ad Manager; watching one is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours — we only receive a signal that an ad was completed, not any data about you from Google.

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. All traffic to recast-face-swap.com is encrypted (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we don't store anything we don't need to run the service.

Recast isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

You can use video and photo swapping without an account at all. If you do create one, you can change your password, delete individual uploads, or delete your whole account at any time from the Profile screen. For anything else — access, correction, or deletion requests — email us.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
